Petit Témis Interprovincial Linear Park

Located in the heart of the Upper Saint John Valley, the Petit-Témis Interprovincial Linear Park  is the first biking path in Canada to link up two provinces:  New Brunswick and Québec.  Some of the more important sites to look for along the path include the New Brunswick Botanical Garden, the Jardins de la République Park, the Automobile Museum and the Edmundston marina. The starting point of the Petit-Témis is at the Pavillon l'Estacade,  116 Victoria Street in Edmundston (exit 18). From the St-Jacques district,  there are several places where you can get onto the trail (exits 8 and 13 A).

Fortin du P'tit Sault Blockhouse

Constructed in 1841 at the height of the hostilities between the United States and England, the The P'tit Sault Blockhouse was one element in a long line of defence installations stretching all the way to the province of Québec.  It was destroyed by a lightning strike in 1855 and reconstructed, thanks to the generosity of the community, in 2000. 


The New Brunswick Botanical Garden

What could be more peaceful and pleasant than to start your stay in Edmundston with a visit to the Botanical Garden. Getting to the Botanical Garden is no harder than picking a daisy.   You can see it from the entrance to the St-Jacques district, next to the highway (exit 8).

Open during the summer season, from May to mid-October, the Botanical Garden is unique in the Atlantic Provinces.

The museum consists of a hallway with a permanent exhibit of antiques as well as two others featuring travelling and local exhibits.  Local artists are also featured in the summer.  Season: Year-round


Cyr Historical House and Chapel Museum

Built in 1810, the house is located in Madawaska county.  The chapel, rebuilt at the same location, is an exact replica of the original chapel.

The Skate Park

Skateboarding is quite popular in Edmundston. Different skate parks are installed in several neighbourhoods. The largest one is located downtown, by the Madawaska River, near the Bernard-Valcourt Foot bridge. Events are held throughout the summer.
