In Edmundston there are over 175 organizations and we estimate that there are 48.3 volunteers per organization. The municipality depends on volunteers for its development and the organization of community, cultural and sport activities. Thanks to the implication of its volunteers, Edmundston offers its 18 000 citizens more than 13 festivals and exhibitions yearly.
Given the strength and the richness of volunteer work in our community, the municipality makes a point of annually recognizing the commitment of its volunteers by hosting a special activity in their honor.
